Day 6: When in doubt...

Author: Pastor Fabiola Vargas

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.”

Ephesians 3:20 (AMP)

I was single and heartbroken with a deep desire to find love. I prayed continuously for a husband and then one day my prayer changed. I began to ask God to prepare me instead so that when my future husband found me, I would be ready. Little did I realize it would be a long process filled with tears, doubt, fear, disappointment, exhaustion, suffering that seemed to go on forever, and all the while God was restoring me to wholeness. The process took 3 years plus 5 more to finally cross the finish line to “I Do”.

"...All the while God was restoring me to wholeness."

This May, I will be celebrating my 2nd wedding anniversary. I can honestly say with every fiber of my being that God is good, life is sweet and now, more clearly than ever before, I see that it was through the process that God was perfectly equipping me for the promise. My husband is a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness. The love we share together is a testament that God cares about our heart’s desires, hears our prayers, and always answers in His perfect timing.

"It was through the process that God was perfectly equipping me for the promise."

No matter what part of the “process” you may find yourself in today, or how long you’ve been there, trust that God will fulfill His purpose and promise. And when He does, it will always be immeasurably greater than anything you can imagine.

He can. He will. Amen.
