Elevate Church's COVID-19 UPDATE | MARCH 14, 2020

Hello Elevate Church;

I want to start off with thanking all of you for continued support and prayer as we continue to navigate the changes around COVID-19. We are so proud to be part of such an amazing church family. In the last 24 hours there have been many updates in the community, and we wanted to pass on some changes regarding our services.

Friday evening, the Mayor of Santa Clarita declared a local emergency and has requested that no organization has a group larger than 50 people at one time. Because of this request we will be moving all of our services to Livestream for the time being. Honoring our leaders is in the fabric of everything we do at Elevate Church and we want to do our part to support our community and its leadership.

Please join us Sunday at 10 am and 12 pm on our Elevate Church Facebook page or YouTube Channel. We will continue to bring excellent online services with reverent worship and the truth of God.

While we realize that these uncertain times can be intimidating, this is an opportunity for the church to rise up and be the hope to a world that feels hopeless.

  • Remember that the first churches in Acts started in the homes of men and women who were excited to share the Good News. We encourage you to continue to read your Bible and seek God daily. This is a wonderful time to start a Bible study with your family at home and dig into the Word to see what God has to say.

  • We just finished up our series about Dangerous Theology where we saw how different we look when we follow Jesus. While we would never minimize the concern of this virus, we know God has given us power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We are praying that as a church we will continue to be the light when times seem dark.

  • If you would like prayer, please click HERE. Our team of leaders are ready to pray with you and stand in agreement on God’s word. Our team of leaders are ready to pray with you and stand in agreement on God’s word.

We are excited to continue to share the Gospel with you and encourage you to join us this Sunday online. We serve a BIG God whose Word never fails. And we truly believe that as a church we will come out of this stronger than ever.

With much love,

Pastor Mauricio Ruiz

Elevate Church's COVID-19 UPDATE | MARCH 12, 2020

In consideration of California's Public health emergency declaration by Governor Gavin Newsom and state health officials stated: "To cancel all gatherings of 250 people or more".

Sunday 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm

Wednesday 7:00 pm

We will keep every Elevate church service under 250 people; in addition, we are adding a 4th service beginning Easter Sunday, which will also give us more space for fewer people in our facilities. We ask that our wonderful single people consider attending the 8:00 am service if you currently attend the 10:00 am or 12:00 pm to make room for families with children at the later services.

We will exercise precautions and continue to monitor state health updates. We will also continue to represent Jesus and share the Gospel with compassion and care.

We are committed and will be intentional about providing a clean and safe environment at every church service. We have already enhanced our cleaning procedures, which includes a comprehensive daily cleaning of all restrooms and high touch surfaces, including doorknobs, toys, faucets, handrails, etc. In addition, our facilities team will clean during, between, and after each service.

Our eKids' classrooms and toys are disinfected after every service by our staff and volunteers. We are also providing hand sanitizers in visible places throughout our building for all volunteers.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with your forearm when coughing and sneezing or use a tissue.

  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds at a time. Use soap and water when possible.

  • If no soap and water are available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with 60%-95% alcohol.

If you or your family find yourselves sick and needing to stay at home, here are some ways to stay connected:

  1. Watch live or listen to the services on our Elevate Church Facebook page or YouTube Channel.

  2. Your financial generosity to Elevate Church tremendously matters to our operations, administration, and have an impact in our community and the world. We have made giving easy through texting ECGIVE to 77977 or via our church website

Psalm 91:5-7

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

We choose faith over fear and trusting God over worry.

With love and prayers,

Pastor Mauricio Ruiz
